Answer
With the SwissSigner signature-software you digitally sign your documents and protect them from alterations. Please follow these instructions to digitally sign a pdf-file with the SwissSigner.
1. Open SwissSigner signature-software with a double-click on the SwissSigner icon

2. Open the desired pdf-file

3. Click on "Simple Sign" and design signature fields on the document
By clicking on "Simple Sign" you can now design as much signature fields as you want (eg. in case that several persons will have to sign the document). SwissSigner also recognizes if signature fields already exist.


4. Sign the document
As soon as you have designed the desired number of signature fields, click on the green "Sign" button in the left bottom corner of your SwissSigner.

5. Enter your password

6. Enter the reason for signing and your location

7. We recommend to save the signed document under a new name in order to protect the original

8. Enter your secret PIN. By doing so, you sign the document!

Your document is now signed!
9. Your pdf file is now signed and can be sent securely eg. via IncaMail
If you have placed several signature fields on your document, you can now forward it to the other persons for signature. They will also have to click on the green "Sign" button in the left bottom corner of the SwissSigner and sign the document in the same way.

10. With a double-click on the signature you get more information

11. Click on "show certificate" and you’ll get information about the certificate and the certification authority
