How to change SwissSigner language

Antwort

SwissSigner currently includes four languages: EN, DE, FR, IT. By default, it is displayed in the operating system’s (OS) language. Therefore, to change the SwissSigner’s language, the OS language has to be changed according to the procedure of each OS:

  • Windows: Regional Settings

  • Mac: AppleLocale

  • Linux: Hardcoded in the launcher script

Here is how to proceed with the example of Windows Vista:

1. Go to Menu/Settings/Control Panel

ControlPanel

2. Select “Regional and Language Options”

Selection

3. Select “Keyboards and Languages”

If the desired language is already installed in your OS, you can select it via the drop down menu. Otherwise you have to install it following the Windows procedure explained in “How can I install additional languages?” at the bottom of this Window.

4. Logoff and re-login to your user profile and start SwissSigner

To complete the language change, you’re asked to logoff from your current profile and to re-login. Then start you SwissSigner. It should now display in the selected (OS-) language.
