The Swiss Federal Finance Department (EFD) approved the amended regulations on the handling of electronically transmitted data and information (ElDI-V) on November 2007. ElDI-V regulates the handling of electronic invoices and establishes the rights and obligations of the party submitting an invoice and the party receiving one. After a brief transition period, foreign certificates may not be used any longer to comply with the law.
